I corralled my P220 Elite: Mission Accomplished
A hearty thanks to all of you who shared your wisdom with me yesterday! Fortunately my P220 Elite was still waiting for me at my gun shop this morning, along with last additional live recommendations from my two most trusted gunsmiths, both of whom have the Elite in their carry rotations. What a first .45 in my experience! After the purchase I shot my first 50 rounds with fist-sized groups into center mass circle and forehead on the silhouette target at 3,5,7, and 10 yds. Performed so much like my MK25: SRT trigger was great on a few controlled pairs (not quite double-taps), and recoil seemed very well absorbed and minimal.
I will most likely replace those standard E2 grips with Hogue G10s, as I did on the MK25 (see the pics), but I’ll run the E2s for a while.
Again THANKS to all of you who yesterday contributed to confirming my final decision. I hope I can be as helpful to other shooters on SigTalk.
