We're in the process of moving and living out of our camper while the new house is being built.
It wasn't until we were storing my ammo and 'extra' hardware at a close friend's house that she really understood how well prepared we are.

She's good with it and even has her own pistol, but does give me the stink eye when I mention needing 'just one more'.

My girlfriend reached a point of insanity. Repeatedly told me that I was to sell my firearms because "think of my children." Then I caught wind of a sinister plot to use the proceeds to obtain a papillon puppy and take a unneeded vacation on my dime.
Being single now has it's drawbacks, but I love my freedoms more.

My wife’s favorite carry is an EMP3. She also has a CCL. Pretty good with a Mossberg 930 SPX and DD M4.

My wife is cool with guns and if we have the money she doesn’t care, she always just looks at it as more stuff for my son and daughter to inherit.

My wife has always said it's my hobby, not my job, so don't obsess over it so much. Time has actually taken care of that and I treat it more like a hobby, so my scores and placings show it. However, if she tracked how many free/highly discounted guns and gear I've received from sponsors over the years, she might agree it's a decent part time job!!

How does she feel about firearms? Let her finish the round and I'll ask her.

My lady lets me do what I want and I let her do what she wants...and that's the way it should be. I have guns, fast cars, spend money on expensive liquor....not one complaint. I got rid of the one that complained. I had my share of health issues over the past 30 years...so, she's happy when I'm happy.

My wife started shooting cowboy action with me 26 years ago. She has also shot some steel challenge and a little shotgun. She hasn't shot much in the last few years, but she wants start shooting again.

Here's what I like to shoot.

Frequently:
PPC (informal indoor winter league)
Bullseye (Camp Perry, Camp Atterbury, State, Regional, and local club)
Rimfire rifle (benchrest @ 50 yards)
Rimfire rifle (steel out to 200 meters)
Steel Challenge
Rimfire Challenge
Cowboy Action
ICORE
Shotgun (clays, trap, skeet)

Shot Before, But Not In A Few Years:
NRA Action Pistol (think Bianchi Cup)
IHMSA Silhouette
USPSA
Air Pistol 10 Meter
IDPA (tried it but didn't care for it)

My wife of 56 years shoots with me on occasion. but especially enjoyed the CAS guns. She is very proficient with a rifle. She would never shoot competitions but enjoyed going to the ranch were we had access and run through the scenarios. Now days, mostly do to age we have gotten away form that type of shooting. These days, if I tell her I want a new gun, she will ask me which one i'm going to sell or trade.

I had them before we meet so she just tolerates it.

“I don’t understand why you need so many guns” 😬
At one point I think we all heard that quote, then they just embrace not understanding 😄

What firearm hobby?
My wife of 41 years says buy whatever you want and make sure you have enough ammo.

Wife tolerates firearms, doesn't want to be around when son and I talk 'guns'. BUT she wants me to CCW whenever we leave the house. Go figure.

I’m still trying to figure out where my wife of 28yrs stands on the subject. The usual comment is “we have enough guns”, my response- “maybe you have enough guns”. That being said, she bought me a new G19.5 with Holosun SCS & Trijicon sights for Christmas, recently told me to “order more bullets” and asks once a month “when can we go shoot again”. I can’t figure her out at all.

Hubby decided on his own several years ago to sell or trade one that wasn't being used when he had the itch for a new one. That "more or less" worked pretty well. However, we are at the point where we really don't need any more guns, and are winnowing down the numbers (both of us are!). There is no sense, at our ages, keeping guns no longer used when we can sell them for a decent price.

The kids would rather inherit money (if there is any left) than guns they don't want. However: When either of us does get a new one, the other one "finds one" that he/she really wants. It's all good!

It's hard to believe that the first 10 or 15 years of our marriage I was neutral about guns even though they were fun the few times I shot one of hubby's. Then came "shall issue" and I got a permit and got serious. Really serious!

Over our arc of 13 years she’s gone from “you’re buying another gun?!” to “guns and motorcycles are your passions like knitting’s mine” to “it’s a nice day, you should go shooting.”

Love has a way of smoothing out the rough spots.

But how many skeins of yarn or patterns does a woman really need? 🤣
