I had the chance of looking at a Hogue rubber wrap around with finger grooves grip at the LGS and the store clerk was kind enough to let me open the package to look at the inside of it.

Question: is this the newer grip that can accomodate the looped trigger bar spring without any issues?

I Do Not know about the Rubber Grips, but on the hogue site, they have a statement that if You let Them know, They will alter the grips to fit the newer model P 226s.

Looks good to go! Here's a picture of the rubber grips on my P226 DAK, same trigger spring, clearance cutout identical. I see yours is Rev D as mine are.
