For anyone who has cut off the beavertail section of a Hogue grip on a P365XL, can you post pics and your thoughts on the modification?

I think I would like to add this grip to my XL, but I'd like to maintain my hand as high as possible.

May I recommend you try it with out modifying it first. You may find that the texture actually helps to better lock in your hand as high as possible on the grip. If you try it and find it isn’t doing that for you, then modify it.

Either way, good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I like my Hogue grip on the XL as it is. Maybe that's personal, but the grip is not lower by any measurable means.

Zero issue for me. However you can visualize the removal in this pic.

I cannot post a picture but I have tried the grip with and without the beaver tail . I much prefer the beaver tail cut off. The feel is greater than I expected.

I have both and my preference depends on how much I'm trying to "fatten up" the grip.
