Finally bought one. It came from an estate, with case, two mags, a B&T suppressor and two lights / laser sights, none of them who fit the pistol. No manual or test target sadly. Price was $ 1550.

This thing is HUGE

Strong enough to shoot 45 Super without mods. Congrats and enjoy. By the way, Federal has an HK USP 45 test pistol that went nearly 300k rounds with no spring changes. Sent to HK for servicing, not because it needed it but because they figured it was time. Very tough pistols.

There's a reason they mostly sat on the armory shelves in favor of other options. ;)

But a cool pistol nonetheless. Congrats.

Freakin awesome congrats!!!! It’s on my wish list but the high prices and freakin large size have been two negatives that I’ve yet to overcome.

$1500?! With a suppressor and the light?!! I’m literally shaking with rage that I can’t find one for under $2300! That’s a crazy deal. Congratulations on such an amazing find! Best shooting 45 I’ve ever shot hands down! I’ll get one someday…

Congrats! What a great find and score on a very fine pistol. You got one heck of a deal. I would have jumped all over too.

They are really big guns that are well built and very accurate.

That is a good score, I paid $1,000 for mine with 13 factory mags many years ago.

First test at 25 meters, 20 shots without and 30 with the suppressor. Only had abt 25 mins range time after coming back from work, and there was a strong rainstorm just before I started. It was still raining a bit, cloudy and very dark despite being only 7:30 pm. Every club member had left so I had the range for myself.

Without the suppressor, the pistol points very naturally for me, and behind the sights you forget about its size. Weight is manageable too. Ok I have large hands, (and body). The gun is very comfortable to shoot, it absorbs recoil nicely, trigger is fairly light (better than my P8) and breaks cleanly. Gun was very accurate, especially considering I had never shot one.

With the suppressor, it gets very nose heavy and my first shots were a bit low. Noise reduction was good, but strangely the first shot was louder and the subsequent ones much quieter. Accuracy was still good and I think it’s the shooter that mostly opened up the groups. I’ll have to spend more time with it.

I used S&B / Sellier & Bellot 230 gr FMJ

I am guessing you did the ATF paperwork and have your tax stamp for the suppressor?

Congrats. It is such a large pistol. It was a huge step forward when we moved to the mk23a1 from this. The hk45c was a much better option for us. Guess the navy called it the mk24.

Phew. In the US, it's a BIG deal to possess an unregistered suppressor. Glad to hear it is easy in your country!

What do you think about the weight? I always think if I'm gonna carry a gun that size, I'd just carry my .50 Deagle. :)
