I am new to the forum and to Sig Sauer Firearms. I just picked up a 716 Patrol rifle yesterday, its my first Sig firearm. I look forward to reading as much info on the rifle as possible.

I'm by no means an expert as I learn something new every day, but in the last 37 years I managed to acquire some experience with handguns.
I still practice shooting at least twice a week.
Full frame SIG Sauers and classic USGI 1911s have always been my favourite guns.
This is one of the best gun forums among the several I belong to.

Thank you all for the replies, I really appreciate the welcome. Like I mentioned this is my first Sig firearm, its really nice. The 716 is my second rifle in 308 to add to my collection, I picked up a Scar 17 a few months back.

I just ordered a Magpul ACS Stock, I would like to add some glass and a bipod to start with. I was interested in extended rails, however I heard there isn't much out there at this time?
