Wow ok thanks. I thought they were both around the mid 2000’s or even newer. Older than I thought. Frames are both in great condition considering their age.

I originally stated in another thread that the .40 (one with polished out slide) was very slick and difficult to rack the slide. However it was just dirty. A good cleaning now it’s smooth as glass.

Legacy slides and no rails (y)
Yes, the next best thing to WG.
What happened to the FPPP on the polished slide? Looks very odd (depressed and paintedover).

Thanks for pointing that out. I did not notice it.

I’ve actually thought about sending the slide out for a re-fin as I’m not a fan of the homemade polish job.
Send it to SIG for their Nitron job. And, they can also address that FPPP properly, hopefully.

Looks like someone bubba'd the slide.
They sure did. I got a decent deal at $500 with three boxes of ammo so I took a chance on it. I traded in a G26 Gen5 towards it so only $168 came out of my wallet. I didn’t like the Glock and it just sat in the safe. Much rather have the Sig sitting. I’ll slowly see if I can bring it back to its stock glory.
SIG can definitely "fix" the finish for you.

Would highly recommend Sig refinishing to either bead blasted stainless or their factory nitron. Bought a P220ST that was cerakoted tan. Looked brand new when it came back from NH.
