If you're new to the gun world, spend your money on ammo and training instead of high-end gunsmith work.

Your 229 is an outstanding platform as-is.

Welcome to Sig Talk from the southwest corner of Indiana.

Your advantage, is that it was already "broken in" by someone else, but with the SRT kit, came a new sear, so that will need to wear in. As already mentioned, nothing more needs to be done, there is only keeping it clean, and adequately lubricated.

You didn't mention your plans for its use, so if it's just for range use you're ready to go. If it's for Home Defense, or Self Defense, you may want to install a set of tritium sights, for low light situations. Also if your P229 is a railed model, and for use at home, you may want to consider a mounted light.

Also we appreciate "pictures" as "payment" for "services rendered"!!!

Unless theres a lot of slop (creep) in the trigger your good to go imo.
But if there is a lot of creep in the trigger, then a trigger job by Robert Burke, The Sig Armorer, will benefit you tremendously. They aint no **** about that either.
A good trigger will really help your shooting.

The two best Gray Guns upgrades, IMHO, are their trigger and a Fat Rod. But like others have said you don't need to do anything. However, if you are like me I just cant leave my guns alone.

I've had a LOT of work on my guns done be Bruce Gray. I can't recommend him and his company highly enough.

That said.

"Somewhat new to the gun world" means you may not have enough practical experience and rounds under your belt to really understand and be able to appreciate the kind of fine tuning Bruce - or any of the highly thought of Sig "specialists" in the custom armors cadre do to actually see value in their work.

My suggestion is to get some rounds on target, spend some time learning about your new gun until you understand the finer points of sights, trigger work and general fine tuning that's may improve the points you think could be better - later.

For now - go get some shooting in. You have a great gun to enjoy - even if it was straight out of the box from Sig.
