Gas Pedal thumb rest o ring

I just received the gas pedal thumb rest for my sig p320 xcompact and it came with a loose o ring in the bag. Does anyone know where it goes?

Sigs site shows this pic:

If that is the o-ring and it’s already installed then perhaps the loose one is extra.

Most the time take down levers come without the o-ring installed. I put a little grease on it and then slide it on.
