Do you check the location of where the business is located before ordering? If I see the business, I'm ordering from is in a deep blue state, I try to not send my money or business that way.

A lot of the deep blue state leaders are anti 2nd amendment. If you agree with that ideology, then that's on you. But don't expect me to support your state's economy with my dollars.

Or am I wrong for thinking like this?

I don't hold anything against a 2A business in a blue state. If anything I just feel bad for them. I wouldn't order anything from Dick's Sporting Goods online and they have them in my state. I get a lot of projectiles from stores in IL. I have even gotten many dies, Redding and RCBS out of Massachusetts. And it's almost always the best deal I can find at the time is why I buy stuff online in the first place. Other than the occasional online reloading supplies order, I have nothing to do with the blue states. When I did buy ammo... many years ago, Sportsmanguide was a good place and they were in MN. Didn't hold that against them. lol

I've been buying my bulk ammo from Target Sports USA and after reading you post realized that they are located in blue state. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll look for another supplier and a 2nd Amendment friendly state.

Im almost certain Target Sports DID NOT elect the people who run the state they’re in. TS gets my business regardless of where they’re located.

Absolutely NOT! I think your mindset is flawed here. Those sellers in blue states face additional hardships not known in red states. I am LE but in a blue state (NY) and I promise you there are multiple red state sellers who refuse to deal with anyone in NY and they deserve to get some :poop: as it only emboldens blue states even more! I get it, its easier to ditch us buyers than deal with it but selfish it is!

Not really.

I only check location to see how long/complicated the shipping process might be. For instance, from Virginia (Velocity Ammo) is not bad. TargetSportsUSA are in Hartford CT, so shipment takes a bit longer to me in Florida. Just depends on who has what I am looking for at the right price, which is not always the lowest. Reputation and previous positive experiences play a big role in who I will order from.

I order my ammo from where I get the best deal. I don't pay attention to the location of the business.

How deep blue is any deep blue state that supports ammo manufacturers/suppliers?

It seems to me that basing ammo buying decisions on the basis of location only serves to further the divisiveness prevalent in politics and society?

So by not buying from a vendor in a blue state are you not playing right into that state’s hands by potentially putting that vendor a small step closer to going out of business? I think we should be supporting a 2A business who is an oasis in an otherwise barren state.
:iagree: Well said! As others have indicated, sticking it to the blue state businesses is only hurting the pro gun business and promotes the stupidity of the blue state overlords! There's nothing the nut bags would like better than having us turn our backs on pro gun businesses. To do so would be doing the bidding of the anti-gun goons that want to close every industry that has anything to do with guns.

Never worry about the state’s color as the business is probably pro-2A if they’re selling ammo. Even better, supporting a 2A business in a blue state is like helping the French Resistance in Vichy France in WWII.

I normally buy my ammo from my LGS, which is strongly 2A. But some calibers I buy bulk online.

Isn't that what R politicians are always accusing the left of doing?
Cancel Culture
Businesses do not reflect political bias of the State unless they are in a hurry to fail.

I'm a strong supporter of the 2ndA and gun owner's rights. And I live in one the Reddest states on the map but I just can't let politics control all the choices I make in my life ... some yes, of course but not all. One of my best shooting buddies and longest friends leans pretty hard to the left. He loved Obama and Hillary and hated Trump. But he owns more guns than just about anyone else I know and is friend I know I can count on if needed.

We don't talk politics ever ... I think at times he's conflicted with his political views and his hobbies ... I don't push it. I've known his wife longer than he has ... I dated her sister in high school ... she's always been warped hard to the Left and thinks CNN is the word of god ...sometimes I think he's just trying to keep peace at home by going along with what she tells him on how to think. ... "happy wife ...." and all that. But I refuse to abandon a good friend over our differences in politics.

So, I try to buy most of my guns and ammo locally but these days it can be "any port in a storm"... and if the price is right and they'll send it to me ... I just don't really look at where it being shipped from.

I used to order ammo from Target Sports USA. Their supply seems very limited and their prices are way higher then before. I just recently ordered from Tombstone tactical in AZ. Got a thousand rounds of Blazer Brass 124 gr 9mm for $275.
