Firearms & 4TH OF July

538 Views 12 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  Dholiday666
Fourth of July is coming up on us rapidly. As we all know that will bring idiotic gunfire thus resulting in aimless projectiles falling from the sky. Here in Las Vegas it gets worse every year. I imagine it's the same about anywhere these days. I have a small collection of projectiles that I have collected from the street and yards around my neighborhood,so far nobody has been injured that I know, about 3 years ago my mother-in-law lost her windshield. Last year some clown about two or three blocks away felt necessary to do 10 to 12 17 round mag changes, this goes on through the entire Valley all the way up until midnight or longer! On new years I have been known to load my 22 revolver with Hilti charges. But this gunfire in the air is ridiculous.

I knew someone back in the 90s whose little daughter was seriously and probably permanently injured by a falling bullet launched by one of those morons. :mad1:
I'm speechless. What kind of knuckle draggers are you living near?

That's what I say, and it gets worse every year! My 96 year old neighbor gave me a bullet this morning that he found in his driveway last week. one here is typical of the ones I find in the street near my house, it's kind of obvious it fell from the sky. The second one is the one he gave me this morning, appears to be a ricochet from the asphalt, you can tell by the asphalt impregnated in the nose!

This was just behind my seat the cop said less then 1 foot and I would’ve been dead
Hopefully you have luck finding a much safer place. Crime seems to be growing and following people away from cities more than ever.

Yes sadly I feel Eugene Oregon used to be safe but since covid there are never cops out just glad I don’t live in Portland 🤮
Our local media rarely reports on any of these things, unless somebody is killed, I live on the east side of the valley outside the city limits, in the county discharging is a misdemeanor, in the city it's a felony. Fourth of July is getting extremely insane here, the hotels downtown and on the Strip usually run pretty good firework shows, but the real show is watching the Valley from High Ground, the whole place is lit up like a Christmas tree, fireworks are illegal in our two most populous counties, but not in the neighboring counties, I couldn't venture to guess what people are spending on illegal fireworks but I bet it's in the Millions. And then there's the gunfire!
No state is safe from idiots. Unfortunately some seem to have more than their fair share.

I live in a small country community just west of Mobile....I can assure you there will be lots of gun fire. AND- as if that weren't enough.....it will go on for a week or so after the 4th. Some folks just don't have a stopping place.
I have been retired now for quiet a few years- so I don't have to jump up at the crack of dawn to go to work. I feel sorry for those guys who are on day shift.
Obviously some folks were never disciplined as a child....and never grew up either. That's life...

Yeah I hate to hear about irresponsible idiots. That don't have the common sense to realize how dangerous their actions are.
