Feedback please on MPX-K with MODX-9 suppressor

I got a new MPX-K 9 months ago and love it. Also purchased the MODX-9 shortly after - still waiting for the ATF tax stamp. One of my friends with both models of the CZ Scorpion mentioned I might have issues with running the suppressor without eye protection because of the gas system. He sent me a Youtube video describing the problem but the video is from 6 years ago. I plan to use the MODX-9 for home defense, which means I won't be using goggles and I don't wear glasses. Will not wearing goggles or glasses be an issue for me?

Just a few posts down from this one is a thread discussing this very thing.

MPX with ModX-9 Suppressor.
