I found drawing from appendix and keeping focus on the target until the dot appears in view led me to the dot quicker than looking for the dot prior to focusing on the target. I have no experience with the R1P but I hope it appears more brightly in daylight than the R0 I’m currently running on my 365XL… washed out is an understatement.

Fabricated Arms work
After 4 solid weeks, I finally got my slide and R1P back from Fabricated Arms. My first red dot experience and it honestly sits a little wider on the slide than I expected. They did a great job with the fitment and im ecstatic to get it to a range. My initial dry fire thoughts are that it seems to be a more natural point and aim to find the dot. It will definitely be a small learning curve, especially from appendix carry but it should be a fun experience. I still need some suppressor height sights, an appendix holster and an OWB holster though.
