I'm a Colt AR guy but I still have several AK variants. I took my Arsenal SLR95 out to my buddies range today and was dinging 10 inch steel out to 110 yards while standing offhand.

I had forgotten how versatile these AKs are and ihow much I enjoy them. Anyone else enjoy 7.62 goodness? Pics?

This is my Arsenal SLR95 converted to proper Ak specs. Rebarreled with Bulgarian barrel, new FSB and gas block, new lower tang and proper stock.

I have a couple of AK's, I like them, they're a work horse of a rifle. And all you need to work on them is a shovel! :)

This is my Arsenal SLR107 and my Zastava ZPAP 92

I only have one AK, but it’s a solid weapon. It’s a Saiga that I converted from the “Sporter” version to the AK.

So that new barrel is how you got that 45 degree GB to work...

They are a bit of a '*******' rifle from the factory. 90 degree GB and Type 3 FSB. That's how I did mine. I do however, have a 24mm threaded FSB that could be used if I reduce the barrel journal diameter. Opening up the FSB would make the wall too thin.

yes, to get the proper AKM type profile i wanted. i had to go with Bulgarian bbl, GB and FSB. im fortunate that one of the best AK builders in the country is one of my closest friends

big change from this....

I am looking at a Galil Ace Gen 2 rifle. I know AKs are generally solid, but which ones to avoid?
And has anyone run a Galil AK?

I have no personal experience with the Galil Ace Gen 2. But what I've read is mostly positive. I looked at Galil a while back when I wanted an AK pistol, I bought the Zastava Arms M92. The reason I bought this is that it's a true AK configuration. The Galil is more of a hybrid with some changes to the upper receiver and the way you charge the rifle. I don't believe you can go wrong buying it.
