The Sig instructions say to clean the sight with a lense cloth they provide with the sight or a lense pen, Trijicon sells a pen that uses graphite, doesn't sound great to me. I did a search that showed some using white distilled vinegar and some using alcohol or eyeglass cleaner. I guess eyeglass cleaner or camera lense cleaner would be safe. Just wondering what is a safe but effective way to get nasty stuff like oil, grease or carbon off the lense.

Camera lens cleaner should be fine. It is safe on delicate coatings on high-quality lenses.

I tried the lens pen, I didn't think it would work well either, until I tried it. Amazed how clean it got it.

Any lens cleaner should work well.

Thanks for the replies. I have some camera lense cleaner and I'll order the lense pen. I'm probably being overly careful but the Romeo broke the second day I had it and I don't want to send it back to Sig again.
