I recently installed a Herrington Arms P320 HC compensator on my Sig P320 X-Compact and am getting ready to order 1,000 rounds of 9mm ammo. The CCI Blazer and Sellier & Bellot are the exact same price for 1,000 rounds. I've read where some people recommend NATO brand 124 grain ammo for compensated handguns. I'm pretty sure Sellier & Bellot is NATO brand ammo. Have any of you used Sellier & Bellot 124 grain or any other brand NATO ammo and , if so , what has been your experience.

I've shot both and prefer Blazer Brass - I agree S&B is cleaner, but it has harder primers than the Blazers.

I've shot S&B 115 grain in my X-Compact before I added the compensator with no issues whatsoever. I think I'll go with the S&B 124 grain over the Blazer Brass because the NATO round is a little hotter.

A friend just asked me the same question. I’ve had good experience with both but I recommended Blazer because it’s made in the USA.
I hear see where you are coming from USA USA but I think the NATO round will work better with the compensator. If I'm wrong somebody let me know.

S&B 124gr FMJ
Muzzle Velocity1181 fps
Muzzle Energy384 ft. lbs

Blazer 124gr FMJ
Muzzle Velocity1090 fps
Muzzle Energy327 ft lbs

I prefer the stiffer stuff. This is a sizable difference. Blazer has lazy ejection and is a poofer load.
Not sure how it could be seen as softer shooting?

S&B 124 grain is excellent range ammo and I use it and Federal 124 grain. You may want to do some testing with Blazer and S&B 115 and 124 grain to see which one your compensated pistol likes best. Buy a box of each (4 boxes) and do your own testing. I did this a year and a half ago with all my guns to see what ammo works best in each for function and grouping. I learned that you had to let the gun tell you what ammo it likes best and not you telling the gun what it is going to shoot if you want the best performance.

I did test both 115 grain and 124 grain and the 124 grain feels better to me. Both fed and ejected with no issues.

Was looking at supplied test targets with my CZ Pistols. The first listed S&B as ammo (didn't specify weight). Other targets spelled out the name. It confused me at first because i didn't realize S&B is a Czech company. Have had good results with every caliber i have fed my guns.

Of course the same can be said of BLAZER BRASS. And shooting 50 rnd boxes every range session, never noticed it being particularly dirty. It is interesting that they use brass headstamped BLAZER.

Sure your gun will appreciate regular feeding and exercise with whichever you choose.
