I had sent my M11A1 and P239SAS to Robert Burke for some work and they both returned home this Wednesday. Both guns started their journey with SRT triggers. From my door and back was 17 days, which I found to be a great turn around. Robert was very patient and informative when we spoke on the phone. He also, added a tube of Super Lube in my return package, due to our discussions on lube and our preferences. As a fairly new shooter, I took advantage of the opportunity to pick his brain. The final triggers pulls stated below are based upon an average from 7 measured pulls.

Robert did his Carry Level trigger work on my 239 and it returned with DA 8.4 lbs and SA 2.8 lbs. The trigger is super smooth and the SA reset is remarkably short.

He put the QRT trigger system and his Carry Level work on my M11A1. Return values were DA 8.8 lb and SA 3.3 lbs. Once again very smooth and zero creep. SA is just like the 239 with an instantaneous reset when trigger pressure is released from full back position.

I did go through a learning curve with the Lyman trigger gauge I bought for measuring my triggers when they returned from Robert. I discovered two human error traps that I needed to resolve in my utilization of the gauge. Placement of the pull rod on the trigger must be on the optimal pivot point of the trigger. Placing to high will cause erroneously high readings. Also, I had to watch to not over pull the trigger, allowing continued pull after the break was causing false high readings. Slow and steady pull caused more accurate and constant readings. Slowing down to a steady slow pull just before the break.

I am very please with Robert's work and can't wait to get to the range this weekend for a test drive.

Robert has done a half dozen guns for me. Mostly SIGs; 224, 226, 220, and 938. All spectacular results...including my two Dan Wesson's; Valor and the PM-9 Longslide conversion!
