c3 1911 sight adjustments

Just picked up a beautiful 1911 C3 .45 and I need to raise elevation for sights. Are they adjustable for this on the C3 or do I need replacement set?

Up/down are not adjustable. I'm looking at replacing mine because the glow material on the original sights are so dim as to be useless. in fact i just started a thread about them. I'm hoping that an new matched set will be a universal thing. out of curiosity, are you shooting low? have you shot from a rest to reduce the variables of flinching pushing, etc.? are you placing the front dot on the bullseye and it's low? I read an article somewhere that discussed sights and sight pictures. some were being made so you put the top of the front sight at the middle of the bullseye, others were contending the dot over the bull.. I'll try to find the article and post it

Thanks for the assist. I am actually shooting high. I have to put tip of front site near the bottom of rear sight to come close. Yes, i have used a sand rest to stabilize for best possible outcome.
