I want to shoot my 226 in IDPA and need to get a good holster.
I'm thinking 15 degree forward cant & outside the waist band.
Right side, about the 4:00 position.
Any better ideas?
what does everyone suggest?

Holsters | Blade Tech Gun Holsters | Knives and Tactical Gear or Comp-Tac are the most popular among dedicated IDPA competitors. Most use a straight drop but that's just an individual preference. I got a smoking deal (like $20 or so on Amazon) for a basic Blackhawk! Sporter OWB belt holster and it draws lightning fast and smooth. I used it in a USPSA match just yesterday but usually use it only for IDPA.

I got a Safariland Open Top Concealment holster. I like it a lot. Ordered thru a LGS, about $30.
Safariland 5198-477-411, IDPA approved.

I got an Uncle Mike Kydex holster which fits my MK25 like a glove.

If you want OWB, Leather, custom for the pistol, look at DM Bullard's "Bodyguard." I have about 4 of them (including the one I use for my Legion and MK), and really like the 25 degree cant, which I can't (!) find anywhere else.

Look in their "In Stock" section and you'll almost always find a Sig P226 w/Rail listed. It's just plain saddle leather, pancake-style, but very well made, rides high and tight and very comfy.

If it's in stock, you'll have it in a couple days. $85 + S&H, so not bad.

Worth a look...
