Armory Craft Flat Trigger & Armory Craft Ultimate Master Spring Tuning Kit

1310 Views 61 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  cremaley
Today, I installed these items in my P365XL.

Installation was straightforward except the extra power trigger bar spring took a little manhandling.

Upon completion I ran initial tests with 100 rounds of Speer 147 G2SR, 50 rounds of Speer 124 Lawman, and 13 rounds of Speer 124 Gold Dot. Zero issues so far.

I'll be doing a 400 round one day class on Sunday, so I'll have a better feel for reliability, but we are off to a good start.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I went with Sig OEM flat triggers but did the same thing with the Armory Craft Master Ultimate Spring kit and I've been to range, and it took the mushy feeling away. The break is great, and it feel much better. No problems with my two P365 installs.

Update. Completed a pretty demanding 8 hour course today shooting 232 of the forecasted 400 rounds. Zero issues.

Did you install the whole kit or just the trigger return spring.

What effect did it have on the trigger weight pull?

Took that mushy trigger pull away but didn’t check after install, I'll check this morning after coffee and report back. :coffee:

I was initially only going to get the positive reset spring but since there was so little cost difference between that alone vs the whole kit, I did get the whole package. I'm very curious how it'll compare with the stock springs. Nilla and k4kxm, how broken in were your factory springs prior to installing the Armory Craft springs? I'm still going to put 500rds through my macro before fiddlin with anything, with the possible exception of swapping the oem flat for the incoming oem curved triggers because of how little I like the flat trigger. I keep reading reports of how the whole action smooths out a lot after a few hundred rounds so I wanted to give the gun a fair shake as is before chasing improvements.

How is the break on that armory craft trigger? I heard it breaks at around 102° vs the 90° on sig's flat trigger.
Yes it breaks further back, wasn’t expecting that, like the 90 position better.

Thanks for confirming that. This is what's keeping me from purchasing the AC triggers for my P365's.
I bought their flat trigger with spring kit and installed them same time. Didn’t notice any difference other than reset which is short and sweet. I went AC route because I liked the looks of their trigger over Mcarbo.

About 500 rounds...

Yeah, that's why I did flat trigger from Sig OEM instead of an Armory Craft trigger. No better than Sig trigger.

Great minds think alike! And by then you'd still assess the AC spring kit as having made the break and reset crisper vs stock springs? From your pictures it looks like the TiN FCG so I wonder if that was already a bit lighter by default.

So a couple of things:

I started off with an OEM custom works FCU with the TiN coating and flat trigger. FYI: other than the coating there is nothing special about this FCU. The factory does not "tune" them. I put perhaps 300 rounds on it.

I then did this Armory Craft non-adjustable trigger and 4 piece spring kit, and now have around 500 rounds on it.

My trigger pull gauge has the new average at 4 lbs. vs. the original 5 lbs. The biggest difference, however, is the trigger pull is now smoother and longer (breaks at 102° with the AC trigger) which I personally prefer for EDC. I'm looking forward to everything smoothing out like on my OEM P320 once I get a few more thousand rounds on it.

At Sunday's class I was hitting steel plates 15 to 20 yards away from behind cover and from improvised positions no problem. YMMV.

I have the AC master tuning kit in my 365 X and both my under construction Mac-tre Comp builds. I wanted the AC triggers for all 3 but not sure how I would feel about extending an already long trigger pull.

It's all personal preference, but remember the "long" trigger pull is only on the first shot if you are controlling the reset during subsequent shots.

You are absolutely correct. I love the looks of the AC triggers, I would have to try one out before installing it on my own though. Might not even mind or notice it too much.
