Almost feel llike an apology is in order

I've been a SIG fanboy for a long time. I started out w/a P229 (junk) and have owned just about every variation of the P320 (and sold most of them). When the 1st P365 came out, I thought "that's cute but not for a manly man like me". Fast forward a few years. I Frankensteined a P320 X Compact (and love it) then decided to buy a P365X. I added a Holosun and I'll probably add either a Icarus or WC grip module (I've had WC on most of my P320s). Now, I'm seriously considering selling both of my remaining pistols (P320 X Compact and modded S&W M&P 40 2.0) so I can justify another P365 as more of a toy (aftermarket grip module, RDO, WL, etc).

Yup. I'm pathetic.

Anyway, I just felt the need to apologize for something nobody else knew about.

Interesting. Have you ever owned a 229 in 357 Sig ? If you haven’t, you should. You’ll never apologize again.

I haven't, TAS. I'm happy with the P365 varient. Nothing inherintly wrong w/the P229 platform, just not what I'm into.

I didn't say all P229s are junk. I said the P229 I had was junk. I bought it for $50 knowing it was in really poor condition (really, really poor condition) but thinking I could either rebuild it or part it out. Turns out it was in such bad condition I couldn't do anything with it. I ended up selling it to someone else for 50 bucks. No idea what he was going to do with it. It was just too far gone.

Fairly certain I didn't use the phrase "tinker toy" anywhere in my post. Like I said, I am/was hooked on the P320 platform as I thought the P365 platform wasn't a "manly" gun only to find out that it was a great platform and fell in love with it. I'm not here to debate any other platforms.

So, are you saying the P365 isn't a "real SIG"? If so, why are you in the P365 sub forum? Just to troll or am I missing something?

He is known to the community with the outright dislike of the P320 and P365 or general striker fired handguns.

I also fell into the “I hate sigs” category. Just heavy guns, **** triggers. I don’t even remember what model I tried out somewhere around ’06. I think it was even supposed to have some special LE trigger or something, it still sucked and I sold it quickly. I did later pick up a Sig 1911, which technically isn’t even a Sig. It’s a pre rail scorpion and it rocks. I have it set up as a hunting side arm and it just chugs 255 grain hard lead rounds
Fast forward to the 365, and I’m glad I took the chance. Mine is just perfect, no grit, no drag, no issues, and a trigger you can just forget, perfect. I usually carried a G30S, so it actually shoots tame In comparison. Quality is great, and although they never really look like much in photos, it’s really nicely detailed. Especially the slide.

So count me as another that came back over to the sig side because of the 365

My P365 XL gets most of the range use and I tend to carry my standard model P365. I have a lot more fun shooting my Glock 19 or a TX22 but at the end of the day, the standard P365 with a flush magazine is the most badass pocket pistol on the market.

I was pretty much the opposite. Felt the X series P220 and P226 were the ultimate with Legions and Elites a fairly close second place. Got a P320 X Vtac and then an AXG frame and realized there are many tremendous Sigs. It is personal preference and what works for you.

Nothing wrong with the 365 in fact daughter 1 uses hers as a duty back up and D2 uses hers as CCW purse gun.
