Looks like hardly used at all. Unused even. Too bad there's nothing else.

Were the issues with just with the 9mm? I have a 40 version built in 2015. I carry it in a leather holster, the nitride slide is just now showing a sheen where it rubs the leather. When Sig stopped production I bought 3 recoil springs and grip screw plate kit for mine, plus a 357 barrel. Strictly my opinion, I think the P229C is the best looking gun Sig made. While the P229C was a low production number, to begin with, that is a big chunk of change, for just a pistol and 1 Magazine.
The biggest problem with that version was Failures to Extract. Many were "replaced" by Sig, while under warranty, with other models. Sig had replaced Extractors, and springs, possibly even barrels, trying to remedy the problem. Of course, many served their owners without problem too, so it's going to be a luck of the draw, but without a warranty for protection.
I can't remember for sure, but I do think it was 9mm models, a quick PM to ThnkFrst who has kept track, may shed some light. Were the issues with just with the 9mm? I have a 40 version built in 2015. Not quite, the same, the P229C P224 is a tad shorter 3.4 the P239 is 3.6.I can't remember for sure, but I do think it was 9mm models, a quick PM to ThnkFrst who has kept track, may shed some light.
I always thought it was ironic, since P239s also have the same length Barrel, but never had the same issues.
The P229C uses the same 3.5" barrel as the P224 model, with complete slide interchangeability. Regarding issues with the P229C, I have never experienced issues with any caliber and I have many of them (maybe, I am the fortunate son...). My primary EDC is a P229C in 9mm and it is my favorite of all Sigs! Plus, it accepts P229 and P229-1 magazines without issue. That means 15+3, with one in the chamber for a total of 19 rounds of 9mm in a compact package. I considered bidding on the OP's referenced one on gunbroker but, with fees, taxes, and shipping, it puts it about $400 above my average cost for my other ones. Too much money for me; however, if I didn't already own a few (in all calibers), it would be more tempting. Not quite, the same, the P229C P224 is a tad shorter 3.4 the P239 is 3.6.
