365-380 failures

806 Views 6 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  CrashJohnson
First range trip with the 365-380. Failed miserably . Slide would not always close completely even when manual racking. So- I had failure to feed, stove pipes etc. many times while trying 2 mags and 20 pllis rounds, Cleaned after the range trip and the culprit seems to be some binding between the slide and frame And/or not enough spring tension to close the slide. Had cleaned throughly before firing. I have only had this pistol 3 days. Sending it back to Sig. A bit disappointed but know Sig will take care of it.

I posted this earlier but did not see it so not sure what is going on.

Mine does the same. It's not interference in the slide/chassis junction. It's a headspace issue. If you remove the barrel from slide, push in your loaded round, it'll hang up and you'll have to knock it back out with a cleaning rod.
disappointing for sure, keep us posted.

Have you contacted SIG to resolve this?

I've always called that the "plunk test". Mine passes with ease. The cartridge slips in and out without any problem.

Send yours back to Sig.
