320 X Compact magazine?

648 Views 7 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  jazzman001
I bought three spare magazines for my new 320 X Compact.
Two made in USA one made in Italy.
The two USA magazines fit and the Italy magazine does not.
Wood Communication Device Bumper Hardwood Wood stain
Table Wood Wood stain Hardwood Flooring

Looks like an easy fix with the Dremel tool.
I did not know that there was more than one style of compact magazine.
When I get more,I will have to be more careful.
The magazine on the right side is the one that does not fit.
Maybe this will save someone the head ache.

Yeah, in typical SIG fashion they modified the base pads on the 15-round magazines so the older versions with the thicker vertical sections don't work with the newer X-Series grip modules.
trim or cut tabs off the older Italian mag
I bought all three magazine at same time.
I did not notice the different base pad until I was at the range .When it would not fit in the gun.
I will just work on it with a Dremel tool.
Now I know to keep an eye on Sign magazines when I buy them

You can also buy the base pads on the Sig website. They are inexpensive
I’ll bet the Italian has a round hole on the bottom and USA has a square hole. Dremel is the best option for modifying the Italian.
All 3 of my mag's for my X-Compact have square hole's and are made in Italy.
