I am in school to become a gunsmith and the other day I detailed stripped my 320. I got it almost completely reassembled and noticed a spring I did not see during disassembly. I learned that it is the safety lever spring. I tried to reinstall it but boogered it up. I have replacements on order. Does anyone have any helpful tips for reinstalling this patience trying spring?

I just transferred the FCU parts from my Compact RX FCU to a M17 Manual Safety FCU Frame and installed the Manual Safety Parts.

When I built up the M17 FCU Frame I left the Safety Lever Spring out.
I had read that Sig no longer uses it in their FCU Builds.

I have not been to the range with it yet to confirm that it shoots without Issue...but I do not expect it to have an issue.
I am hoping to get to the range this next week.
It Dry Fires with Snap Caps without issue..

If you already have your FCU assembled without it then I'd say go and shoot it.
You should be fine.

This is a little confusing, but the new (post-recall upgrade) FCU parts do not require this spring. Set it free.
