I have a new 22.cal conversion for my 229. It is performing poorly.....many misfires with occasional extraction failures. Perhaps 100 rounds shot with 6 different types of ammo. How to proceed?

High Velocity

I have shot .22lr conversions for P220, P226, and P229 with no problems. The secret is to break in the kit with high velocity ammo. During break in there will be a few FTF and/or failure to go into battery. CCI minimags work best. After about 500 rounds, I can even shoot standard velocity rounds. Some pistols are ammo sensitive, so try a variety and use what works.
