PROBLEM RESOLVED (SEE POST 14)
I got the new P238 Hammer Pivot Pin and Left Side Safety from MGW expecting a 'drop in' install to have only a LEFT safety on my P938. No problems getting the originals out or putting the new ones in. BUT, the safety was not able to rotate to the safe...
The safety works and is tight on the left side but loose and rattles on the right side. Came back from the factory this way after cleaning and repair. Is this a quick fix?
Can I use a safety from a 238? Is this something I can do myself, as an admitted non-trained (save forums & videos), gunsmith? Will it void my warranty with Sig?
Apparently I don't know how to follow directions. Or maybe I skipped over the pesky red warning triangle. But I flipped the safety on while cleaning the frame to clean the crud from under the levers. Now I am left without answers to two questions:
