Did Sig ever offer the P229 SAO in 357 Sig or 40S&W?
I haven't seen any, nor did I find any references in older posts.
Sig no longer sells the slides 357/40 slides, but would 9mm SAO frame accept a 357/40 slide, and could it take the additional abuse?
I picked up a P226 40S&W manufactured in Germany in 1996-97, U568xxx
But I can not determine which version it is.
The lower bottom of the front part of the lower frame is smooth or has "no scalloped rails". The only version I have found that looks similar is the P226 Tribal Nitron but it was...
I picked up one of the police trade in p229s in .40 S&W w/out the rail for $299 from aim surplus a few months back. I LOVE this thing and want to carry it. If I like the way this carries I'll probably move into one of the newer 229s in 9mms. But I don't want to invest $800+ in a gun I wont...

Names Paul, I'm form Colorado and new to both this forum and to Sig. Have been searching for a new pistol, and have just bought a P229C SAS in 40SW. Well, I've committed to buy it. Still have the paperwork to complete and then wait for shipping.
Anyway, I looked at a lot of...
Picked up my first Sig today for a steal, a 2340. It is used but appears to be carried alot but only shot a little. It is a Blueline with law enforcement on the box. The bonus is it came with 7 mags and both 40s&w and 357sig barrels. Hopefully I will get to shoot it Friday.
