In a low light situation, different color mags may not be optimal. My 300 blk mags have MagPul Ranger Floorplates on them to help differentiate them from .223/5.56.

Good point on the color. I'm pretty certain the texture difference between coated and uncoated would allow me to tell the difference in the dark but mostly I just make sure to keep ALL the 300 BO stuff together by itself.
