I'm 6'.0" 172Lb a 229 is in my carry rotation, in a Milt Sparks VM II and I don't see it printing (neither I see anything about printing in the CCW law book in Florida) but I'm 69 YO, so no one pays attention to me anyway.
I'm about your size, 6', 168Lb and a P229 OWB at 3:30 in a leather holster. This one, as it accepts an optic (or not) and is thick leather, excellent quality.

In order to go with an IWB, I'd have to go with larger size pants.

I'm looking for something OWB to carry either an M18 or X-Carry with an optic mounted. I could have just about anything I wanted yesterday if I was into plastic, but I want leather. My old Go-To was High Noon, but that was a long time ago, and they are neither cheap nor quick.

I need two types of recommendations:
      • general
      • something I can have in hand by Wed.

So far, the top runner is from 1791 on Amazon.I'm not a fan of the incomplete trigger well coverage, but the price isn't stupid, it has prime shipping, and it comes in brown and tan.

Yup, I've been carrying my P229 with Holosun in this one for the last 3 years. The length will accommodate my P226 as well. That, and is listed as also fitting the P320. It's a well made holster at a good price IMO.

Oops, it will not accommodate a weapon mounted light.

Thanks for the rec, looking for something that can accommodate a light. Would prefer something that can use QLS.
